A Guide for Vibrant Youth

Young people, you stand at the threshold of life, brimming with energy and possibility. The choices you make today will shape your tomorrow. As you navigate this exciting journey, consider the timeless wisdom found in 2 Timothy 2:22:

"Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart." (KJV)

The Power of Choice

Your youth is a gift, a time of immense potential. However, it also comes with unique challenges. The apostle Paul, in his letter to Timothy, provides a powerful blueprint for making the most of this season:

  1. Flee Youthful Lusts: Recognize the temptations that can derail your progress. These might include reckless behavior, unhealthy relationships, or addictive habits. The Bible encourages us to "abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul" (1 Peter 2:11, KJV).
  2. Pursue Righteousness: Instead of fleeing aimlessly, channel your energy towards positive goals. Seek to do what is right and just. "Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another" (Romans 14:19, KJV).
  3. Cultivate Faith: Develop a strong spiritual foundation. Your faith can be an anchor in turbulent times and a compass for your journey. "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6, KJV).
  4. Practice Love: Love is a powerful force for good. Cultivate compassion and kindness towards others. "And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness" (Colossians 3:14, KJV).
  5. Seek Peace: In a world often filled with conflict, be a peacemaker. "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God" (Matthew 5:9, KJV).

Surround Yourself with Positivity

Notice that Paul advises pursuing these virtues "with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart."  The company you keep can greatly influence your journey. Seek out friends and mentors who share your values and encourage your growth.

Embrace Your Potential

Remember, youth is not just a time of carefree enjoyment, but a season of preparation. As Ecclesiastes 12:1 (KJV) reminds us: "Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them."

By making wise choices now, you're laying the foundation for a fulfilling and impactful life. Embrace the energy of your youth, channel it towards noble pursuits, and watch as your potential unfolds into reality.

Your journey is just beginning, and the path ahead is filled with promise. As you navigate the challenges and opportunities of youth, may you find strength, purpose, and joy in pursuing a life of righteousness, faith, love, and peace.

Work and Marriage: A Parable of Life

In my country, work is like marriage. Many say there is no work, yet in reality, there is more work than those willing to take it. The problem is not the absence of opportunities but the unwillingness to recognize and embrace them. Just as some people miss out on marriage because they hold on to an imagined picture of a perfect spouse, many remain in poverty because they continually pass over real work opportunities, waiting for the kind of work that fits the image in their mind. Scripture is clear: Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might  (Ecclesiastes 9:10). God does not call us to wait for ideal circumstances before we act; He calls us to engage diligently with what is at hand. Even in Eden, before the fall of man, the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it  (Genesis 2:15). Work is not a curse but a divine assignment. Yet many despise small beginnings. They forget the words of Jesus: He that is faithful in that ...

GROWTH-BLOCKING MINDSETS AND THE KINGDOM KEY TO BREAK FREE

A Kingdom Perspective for Two Dangerous Mindsets In today’s culture of ambition and hustle, two dangerous extremes have emerged: Those who say, “I’m not called into business. I’m just an employee.” Those who say, “I don’t want to serve anyone—I just want to own mine.” Both of these mindsets are not only flawed—they’re limiting. They reflect a misunderstanding of how God raises people into influence, impact, and provision. We’ll address both extremes and reveal a balanced, Kingdom-based truth: you are already in business, and you must serve before you can own. You're Already in Business—Even as an Employee When you work for a company, organization, or institution, you are already participating in the world of business. You may not own the structure, but you are working within it. You are contributing to its operations, its vision, and ultimately, its profit. Whether you handle customer service, clean the premises, manage accounts, or sit in a cor...
