The Divine Calling of Young Women

In his epistle to Timothy, the apostle Paul outlines a great directive for young women: "I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully" (1 Timothy 5:14).

This verse captures a divine blueprint for young women, emphasizing three key responsibilities that not only fulfill God's plan but also serve as a powerful defense against the adversary.

  1. Marriage: The first call is to marry. This aligns with God's original design: "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him" (Genesis 2:18). Marriage provides companionship, support, and a framework for spiritual growth. As Proverbs 31:10 states, "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies."
  2. Bearing Children: The second responsibility is to bear children. This fulfills God's command to "Be fruitful, and multiply" (Genesis 1:28). Children are a blessing from the Lord, as Psalm 127:3 affirms: "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."
  3. Managing the Household: Lastly, young women are called to guide the house. This involves creating a nurturing environment and managing family affairs. Proverbs 14:1 emphasizes this role: "Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands."

These responsibilities are indeed weighty, requiring dedication, wisdom, and strength. However, they are not burdensome to those who trust in the Lord. As Isaiah 40:31 promises, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Frustrating the Enemy

By fulfilling these roles, young women effectively "shut up the enemy" and "frustrate Satan." Their Godly lives leave no room for reproach, as Peter advises: "Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation" (1 Peter 2:12).

The enemy seeks to destroy families and corrupt society, but Godly women stand as a bulwark against his schemes. Their faithful obedience to God's calling is a powerful testimony, echoing the words of Joshua: "But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD" (Joshua 24:15).

Conclusion

The divine calling for young women to marry, bear children, and manage their households is not a limitation, but a high and holy charge. It is a path that leads to fulfillment, purpose, and victory over the adversary. As these women embrace their God-given roles, they become living examples of Proverbs 31:30: "Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised."

In a world that often devalues these spiritual roles, young women who heed this biblical advice stand as beacons of light, frustrating the plans of the enemy and bringing glory to God. Their lives become a powerful testimony to the wisdom and beauty of God's design for womanhood.

Work and Marriage: A Parable of Life

In my country, work is like marriage. Many say there is no work, yet in reality, there is more work than those willing to take it. The problem is not the absence of opportunities but the unwillingness to recognize and embrace them. Just as some people miss out on marriage because they hold on to an imagined picture of a perfect spouse, many remain in poverty because they continually pass over real work opportunities, waiting for the kind of work that fits the image in their mind. Scripture is clear: Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might  (Ecclesiastes 9:10). God does not call us to wait for ideal circumstances before we act; He calls us to engage diligently with what is at hand. Even in Eden, before the fall of man, the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it  (Genesis 2:15). Work is not a curse but a divine assignment. Yet many despise small beginnings. They forget the words of Jesus: He that is faithful in that ...

GROWTH-BLOCKING MINDSETS AND THE KINGDOM KEY TO BREAK FREE

A Kingdom Perspective for Two Dangerous Mindsets In today’s culture of ambition and hustle, two dangerous extremes have emerged: Those who say, “I’m not called into business. I’m just an employee.” Those who say, “I don’t want to serve anyone—I just want to own mine.” Both of these mindsets are not only flawed—they’re limiting. They reflect a misunderstanding of how God raises people into influence, impact, and provision. We’ll address both extremes and reveal a balanced, Kingdom-based truth: you are already in business, and you must serve before you can own. You're Already in Business—Even as an Employee When you work for a company, organization, or institution, you are already participating in the world of business. You may not own the structure, but you are working within it. You are contributing to its operations, its vision, and ultimately, its profit. Whether you handle customer service, clean the premises, manage accounts, or sit in a cor...
